Can Someone Reccommend Me Some Songs/Bands?
Here are the main bands I like:
Nirvana
Foo Fighters
Alice In Chains
Pearl Jam
Hole
The Exies
Seether
Pagoda
Stone Temple Pilots

Dinosaur Jr.
Bad Religion
Verbena
I know most of the stuff I listed is grunge-ish, but don't list Mudhoney because I'm not really a big fan. I mean, they're okay, but not one of my favorites.
Soundgarden and Audioslave - Both feature Chris Cornell's vocals and songwriting, classic grungey stuff. Some of Cornell's solo stuff is pretty good too.
The Replacements - old school grunge, Paul Westerburg. Their big hit was "Left of the Dial".
L7 - all-grrrl grunge band, very kicka$$. "Diet Pill", "Scrap", "The Masses are Asses", and "Pretend that We're Dead" are great.
Veruca Salt - cool band with female singer, independent streak of grunge but more like rock
Husker Du, Soul Asylum - fun Minnesota grunge-like bands
The Pixies - Inspired a lot of Nirvana's sound.
Jerry Cantrell - His solo album "Degradation Trip" is better than most of his stuff with AIC, kicks some major a$$.
Early Creed and Godsmack owed a lot to Alice in Chains, good stuff.
The Hold Steady is good, esp Boys and Girls in America (album).
Bush - another band from the grunge/post-grunge time period, had some big hits with Machinehead and Comedown.
Collective Soul - jam band from the period, pretty good.
Some of Mother Love Bone's stuff is OK, I never could get into Mudhoney.
You might also look into Interpol (indie-rock, great song-writing), Piebald (more punkish), ...And you will know us by our Trail of Dead (more punkish), , , Beck ("Loser"), The Deftones, and Bloodsimple (heavy post-grunge metal bands).
